Product Description
Drilling Powder Polymer CHP (powder form) is a readily dispersible polymer additive designed to provide shale stabilization in freshwater to saltwater drilling fluids ranging from low solids muds. CHP acts as a viscosifier, and friction reducer, while also providing some fluid-loss control. Drilling Powder Polymer CHP forms a protective polymer film on the drill pipe and bit as well as on the walls of the borehole which helps to provide lubrication when drilling in troublesome formations. It is ideally suited for use in horizontal directional drilling, water well, mining, and tunneling applications.

Application
SMD Drilling polymer CHP provides cuttings encapsulation and improved wellbore stability in a variety of drilling fluids. It can be used as a single product, low solids mud system, or it can be combined with SMD Bentonite CX GEL or SMD Viscosifiers CX TROL to form a more robust mud system.
It is ideally suited for use in horizontal directional drilling, water well, mining, and tunneling applications.

Recommended Treatment:
Add SMD Powder Drilling Polymer CHP in the concentration of 0.2 to 1.0 kg/m³ to any active system. Mix slowly through a jet mixer or sift slowly into the vortex of a high-speed stirrer.
